The New School Models Design Lab empowers forward-thinking leaders with the knowledge and skills to design beyond the limits of traditional school design.
Many schools and systems are dramatically rethinking what it means to effectively educate their students and are looking to transform their learning environments to better help all young people thrive. This Institute explores this new perspective on educational learning environments and guides participants on how to bring to life a new, transformative school model.
This Institute will provide a design process that allows leaders and educators to tackle the following issues:
How might we meet the needs of our youngest learners and most vulnerable students?
How might we increase access to technology and align learning environments accordingly?
How might we run remote and in-person learning concurrently?
How can we limit learning loss while schools are closed?
How might we address student motivation while working at home?
Developed for individuals and team members who work on or support those who affect the design of learning environments, this Institute will focus on understanding how and why today's learning environments can be improved to better support students. Participants will leave the Institute with their own blueprint for a New School Model, along with resources to help pursue their vision.
